Test Report Forms (TRFs)
IELTS scores are valid for 2 years, and reports (TRFs) can only be requested from the center where you took your IELTS Test. Here you may request your TRF for tests taken at ELS/ILSC New York, ELS/ILSC Boston or ELS/ILSC San Francisco. The center will send your TRF directly to the institutions you are applying to.
Institutions need original copies of your IELTS Test Report Form. Photocopies will not be accepted.
Some universities or institutions have subscribed to electronic download of scores, so please make sure you check with their admission office. Click here for electronic delivery.

TRFs can be collected by the test taker or their authorized representative in person from the center or can be sent to the address indicated in their application.
USA IELTS Test Report Form Policies
IELTS on Computer Tests from April 1, 2024
- An Electronic Test Report Form (eTRF) will be available for quick and easy download!
- Paper Test report forms will no longer be issued to test takers for tests taken after this date.
- The eTRF can be accessed through the online booking platform used for test registration.
IELTS on Computer Tests before April 1, 2024
- Each test taker will be issued one hardcopy of their TRF.
- Test takers will have the option to view and download their eTRF through the IELTS Portal.
Paper-Based IELTS Tests
- Each test taker will be issued one hard copy of their TRF.
- TRFs can be collected by the test taker or their authorized representative in person from the center or will be sent to the address indicated in their application.
- Results can be viewed, but not downloaded through the IELTS Portal.
Additional TRFs (For all IELTS Tests)
- Academic test takers: from the point of registration and for up to 2 years following the test date, test takers can request the Center to send their results by post to up to 5 recognizing organizations of their choice. At cost postage fees may apply.
- General Training test takers: from the point of registration and for up to 2 years following the test date, test takers can request a copy be sent electronically to organizations of their choice free of charge (if the organization accepts IELTS results electronically. Additional hard copies, if required, are subject to a fee to cover printing and mailing costs.
- Each additional TRF requested over the free allocation is $10.
